CellAvant is a mobile software services company comprised of consultants, developers, and integrators. We build custom or tailored mobile applications based on our clients' business and technical requirements, and integrate these applications into backend enterprise IT systems.
CellAvant is headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, with branch offices in the Washington, DC metro area. We are affiliated with a large government contractor who has provided professional services to U.S. federal agencies for over 25 years.

CellAvant’s team offers a combined 130 years of software development experience. CellAvant team members have worked for organizations such as National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Symantec Corporation, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and AppForge. Through numerous mobile software projects, we are experienced in the following areas, each of which is unique to mobile computing:
- securing and managing mobile applications and data
- mobile device and operating system variations
- native development practices
- user interface design for usability on small form factors
- optimizing client/server wireless communications

- integration of custom hardware including device-driver level programming
We have experience developing across a variety of mobile operating systems such as iPhone, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry, and integrating into a variety of back-end systems including Oracle and Microsoft databases, as well as IIS and Apache web servers running on Windows and Unix servers.
